Master Bath Remodel

Finally finished the last room in this house. It feels good. Below are a couple before pictures of the master bathroom. I am not in love with the gold tub but there is nothing actually wrong with it. We decided that it was not worth the cost in time and money to replace. I just prettied it up with a nicer shower curtain.

The walls were patched and painted a Navajo white. New laminate plank flooring was put down over the existing linoleum. The old linoleum was also still in great shape and will serve as a water barrier.

The new vanity frame was made from reclaimed wood from an old chicken coop tear down and the shelves are made from pallet wood.

As you can see the lumber needed a little TLC before it could be transformed into something for the house. I pulled staples and cleaned them up with a brush before running them through the planer and table saw to get them sized to where I wanted.

The cabinet is a very simple design.
The stain really brought out the character in that pallet wood that I used for the shelving.

And here we have the finished vanity with the new sink and faucet installed. What an improvement!

I like the open feel of the new vanity. To me it makes the bathroom feel roomier while being almost a foot longer and giving us more counter space.

I really was not disappointed to part with that linoleum either. Haha!
